Gratitude

I feel like I need to express my gratitude and thank my Heavenly Father for all that He has done for me. On Monday I was really struggling. A lot was on my plate and I just felt like I couldn't handle it anymore. School, Self-Esteem and stress where just getting to be too much, plus I was getting sick so that didn't help. I was breaking down. I called (well texted) my home teachers, I needed a blessing. They came over and gave me the most incredible blessing of my life. The Lord truly knows what we need to hear and who is able to be in tune to tell us. I'm grateful that my home teachers are worthy priesthood holders who where worthy in my time of need. I'm grateful for Brianna, and the strength she gives me when I am weak. I'm grateful for my Grandparents and that they have supported me in my College 'career'. I'm grateful to be at this school and for the spirit I feel here. I'm grateful that I found the church at a young time in my life where I was old enough to make the decision but young enough to not be to stubborn to listen to the Spirit. I'm grateful for my FHE family and how they can lift my spirits when all I wanna do is curl up in my bed and cry. I'm grateful for my friends back home who are willing to listen and comfort me. But most of all, I'm grateful for my Heavenly Father and that He knows me and knows exactly what I need. I love Him. I love Christ. And I love the People in my life. I got a letter from Josh today and he sent me a scripture that I needed. It's D&C 90:24: Search Diligently, pray always, and be believing, and all things shall work together for your good, if ye walk uprightly and remember the covenant wherewith ye have covenanted one with another. How can he know what I need when he's so far a way? The Lord. That's how. I am so blessed.

I thought I was in college?

Who knew college could be fun?? I'm definitely beginning to find out! This past weekend was NON-STOP go go go. Friday after classes got out me and Brianna hung out with Lisa and Josh. They are so much fun! We played pool and card games. Oh, and since Josh's Birthday was Saturday we bought all the stuff for his breakfast he was having... Don't think he was to fond of that but he will get over it. Saturday was crazy busy! First we went to Josh's birthday breakfast and ate a "mess" (biscuits, gravy, Eggs and sausage all mixed together. Doesn't sound or look amazing, but it IS!). Then me and Brianna had a Family Interactions meeting, where our group worked on our skit! It was hilarious, when we performed it in class! Awesomeness! After that I played tennis with Kelsey and Josh. A few hours later our ward had this thing called Iron Chef. We were given a few ingredients and had to make a main course and a desert out of it! It was AWESOME! (Picture of the plate is our finished product) Brianna and I cannot resist a photo opp... The reason I'm wearing a hat is because it was SNOWING OUTSIDE! Ya i know, one minute it is tennis worthy weather....The next it looks like Christmas. Oh Rexburg... How I love you. After Iron Chef (We didn't win...) it was time for *Drum roll please...* WATER POLO!!!!! That was probably my favorite part of the day! Especially when I tackled my FHE brother Nate... I'm kinda embarrassed about it to be honest, but it was hilarious. Worst part about Water Polo? Walking home half naked in your bathing suit when it is FREEZING outside! (Remember, it had SNOWED that day!) I got some major weird looks but ya know what...I don't care, I had a blast! We went back to my apartment and had a game night! Full of Wii, Uno and Scum. It was full of yelling, laughs and loads of fun. Yes, that was ALL in ONE day! Sunday was amazing as well. Church was, of course, awesome! Even though we missed relief society, it was still a wonderful. Brianna and I went to our FHE bros apartment and visited and got invited to go to Stadium Singing. We were reluctant to go because...Well... We aren't singers. But it was a really cool experience, having a bunch of college kids just singing hymns and enjoying it. I really liked it. After Stadium Singing Nate and Matt (our FHE bros) came back to our apartment and hung out. We watched "Can I have Yo Numba" and "Nail Salon" on youtube....You MUST look them up if you haven't seen them! Funniest thing EVER! As we were watching "Nail Salon" something was going on that was PERFECT for it... Nate and Matt did Brianna's Nails! haha I'm not exactly sure how it started...But it was hilarious! They are the best FHE bro's EVER! Then for FHE on monday we went and played WalleyBall. It's basically Valley Ball... But way cooler! This semester is going great! I love the people I've met so far! They are making my college experience A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!

Back to the Burg

So I'm back in Rexburg, and LOVING it! I wasn't exactly sure how I felt about coming back. I mean I love it here, but I also love it at home. I do miss my job but it's been a blast so far! I did have a bad week last week (Mostly Monday and Tuesday but a good work friend from back home helped me out and cheered me up). This weekend has been great! Yesterday (Saturday May 15th) was pretty much the best day of college so far! I had a math meeting and a family interactions meeting, but after that it was relax-central! Brianna and I rode our bikes (ok they were Lisa and Christine's bikes) to Brolims and got a bunch of snack foods then went tanning! It was awesome! Such a relaxing day. Then we got the bright idea to dye Brianna's hair... I am not going to be a professional beautician, no matter how much I'd like to. We had to get new dye for Brianna's hair today because it was the wrong color and blotchy (thanks to me). I think she is satisfied with her hair now though. It was great!
